Hi Guys

Does it matter if you leave something plugged into the cigarette lighter when engine is off (overnight etc). For instance a mobile pphone charger, but with no phone attached to it?

I have an ipod stand that plugs into the cigarette lighter, if poss i wanna leave it plugged in as i have it at right angle etc and just take the ipod out of the car. So if i leave it plugged in without ipod charging from it will it drain battery?

Thanks

and i have googled, but cant find exact answer for fiesta, as it seems some cars it live when engine off and others its not...

shouldnt drain your battrey mate. this is just like leaving your phone plugged to the wall. if it is full of charge then there is an automatic power cutout

Not true Spark if you leave a charger plugged in it will still continue to convert electricity to a differen voltage and will use power

Just don't leave anything plugged in to it. Else you'll be flatting your battery just like me

It will use a little bit of power but as others have said it shouldn't drain the battery quick enough to be a problem. Unless you're planning on going on a round the world trip for a year or so.
