Had a look at my fuse box this morning to check whether my plan to install the fog lamps by a single wire from the fuse box to the fog lamps would work or not. I was surprised to see that there is only one fuse used for both the rear fog lamps as well as the front ones?! Could someone check if that's the same thing on your cars please ? This way my plan aint gonna work coz it doesnt make sense to wire the front fogs from there as well when it's a 'different' switch . Any Ideas?

F50 is the front fogs but don't see a rear fogs

It's 'one' switch with two clicks when pulling out to activate the fogs, maybe somehow the switch just adds the rear fogs onto the same loop, cause the front fogs have to be on to activate the rear fogs. You cannot put on the rear fogs without the front ones.

I actually was seeing a video on you tube on how to install fog lamps and the car he was using had all the wiring set up already for fogs, just needed fogs plugged in. I wonder if when I remove my bumper I would actually find the H11 connectors sitting there waiting for me now!

well the rear fogs have to go through that fuse as well though. Removing that fuse does not light up the rear fogs on the dash when they are on the 'on' mode so to say

I dont follow what you are saying here.
Surely the light on the dash can only light up when the fuse is in?

In fact so. Lights on dash for rear fogs do not light up if I remove that fuse so it is definitely responsible for the rear fogs as well. What I do not understand is how the same fuse is used for two objects which have a 'different' switch. I guess my first take will be removing the bumper see if there is already an existing connection. Well if not then I'll have to get my hands dirty one way or the other =S

I think the switch can be used to close both loops, so thats why the same fuse can be used.

You pull the switch out one click and the front fogs come on. This closes the loop for the front fogs. Then you pull the switch to the second position and this also closes the rear fogs loop, keeping the front fogs loop also closed. Then the front and rear fogs are on the same fuse.

I'm trying to find the type of switch that is used...

erm...both?

I'm not the greatest technician (or artist) but maybe this sketch can explain...

This may not be how it works exactly with the car fog light switch, but its a possibility.

The pictures are meant to be the fiesta light switch.

Coloured block is a metallic condictive strip on the barrel of the switch...

In the top pic, the metal strip is not conected to the lights as the switch is in the off position.

As you pull the switch out one click, the metalic strip moves and closes the plus where the fuse is to the front fog lights. They come on.

You pull the switch out a second click and the metal strip moves along more connecting all 3 points. The circuit for the front fog lights remains closed so the lights are on. The circuit for the rear fog lights is also closed and they come on too...

Not the best explanation but I hope it clears it up how it might work.

Facelift wiring (Clicky)

Fog Light Switch (Clicky)
