Apparently the ignition wire loses power after the car is switched on(avoids cranking the engine if the key is turned again) so if you use that as power to your LED,then it will switch off after the car is rollin, however if you take the time to find a wire which is live on ignition, you can easily branch that to pin 1, earth pin 6, and it will stay on until the car is switched off
