Right here we go...

So I started off with 4 sheets of Kaylan Black mudflap material

and got the templates from Steve

For the rear flaps you need to be careful because if follow the measurements exactly, then the upper part of the mudflap will be too wide in my opinion. The 12cm measurement does not take the width of the curve into consideration I think which makes the upper part not correct.

So I made my templates and cut the flaps out. I trimmed them a bit smaller than the measurements above and that enabled me to cut all 4 flaps out of 2 pieces of material. (This leaves me with 2 sheets left, with which I could make another set for someone )

These bits are the leftovers from 2 sheets...

Steve also supplied me with the fitting instructions, however I forgot to print them out for yesterday. Fortunately I had read them a couple of times so basically knew the gist of it...

I bought the fitting brackets from Team Torquesteer. This includes the brackets and all screws and bolts to fit both the front and rear mudflaps. Very useful if you make your own mudflaps.

I'm not going to explain every detail because that's what the fitting instructions are for...
Please excuse the very very dirty car

Starting off with nothing...

Then with the bracket installed

Lined the flap up and drilled the holes in the Mudflap

Installed mudflap(s)

I didn't take any pics during fitting of the front mudflaps. They were pretty simple, just drill a couple of holes for the large plugs and then a few screws.

Finished article...

I'm still considering to trim them a bit more making them smaller and maybe rounding off the edges...not sure yet though
To be fair I think when I put my summer wheels on, due to the different ET value, I think my wheels may stick out a bit further than the mudflaps but we'll see about that when it happens.

So as said above I have enough material to make one more set. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Would be looking for some small compensation (£) but not as much as the pre-made ones you can get.

I also replaced my broken splitter

From this...

To this...

Also while busy with the jobs last night I noticed that somebody had had a go at one of my stickers...
I had "I'd rather push a Fiesta than drive a Corsa"
I think some Corsa driver has seen it while my car was parked up and obviously couldn't handle a joke...

So now I have removed it. I have another one the same but don't think I'll put it back on.

Thanks for looking and reading (if you could be bothered to get this far)
