But why would they get help unless the team helping were pulling their sprinter up too....

Such a let down




Germans had Greipel, Cav's nemesis and they only supplied one guy to help GB, other teams had sprinters too and did nothing, the sprinters teams wanted a sprint finish but weren't prepared or willing to use riders up on the front to bring the lead group back as they normally would in any event, they didn't want to take Cav to the line neither were they bothered about their chances as well it seems.
