you don't really need training as such just a keen eye for detail and patience, theres a forum on the net that i can't remember which is dedicated to detailing i usually go on there and sometimes use someones guide to cleaning a car and usually go on now and then ( as you can tell not that frequently) to see recommended products and test them myself.
