It would look great if he took it to a professional, but if he had a go himself, I highly doubt that he would do any damage. Correcting by hand takes loads of effort just to remove a few microns of paint, unless he decided to go straight in and wet sand or use a rotary (which given a bit of care and thought isn't an issue really) Also there's something really satisfying about putting the effort into your own car and seeing the results =]
