Good story behind it too.

He practiced his display at his home airfield then went to this other one to do the show....but forgot to reset ground zero. The show airfield was 1000ft higher. He took off and did a loop but thought the top of the loop was at 4500ft. In fact he was only at 3500ft. Needless to say, when he got to the bottom of the loop he ran out of air and banged out 0.8secs before the plane crashed.

The photo was taken by a guy on the tower balcony. The wreckage finished 100ft short of it.
