I recon its something you've driven over. How old is your car? I assume its an ST?
It can't be an ST, it passed an MOT last January so is well over 3 yrs old. the oldest STs are late 54, so no more than just over 2 yrs old.
For that level of corrosion I'd say at least 10 yrs old.
I've had that happen to a 15 yr old Renault 5 GTX. Took off the spring and welded a new bit of spring on. Cleaned it up and painted it and you couldn't tell the difference. It sat square too!
Just got car back there, 71Quid for the part and fitting, guy said it must have been cracked for a while then the bang was it going then fell off other night after going over a drain.... the car is a 51 plate fiesta , ps what does ST mean as im new here...
thanks for help and all replies.
