I have been thinking about this for a long time and i have decided i want to join the army or police force.

Does anyone know of anyone who has been or is in either of these and what they think of it?

Only you can make the decision on which one, once enlisted its down to you to make a go of it, way up the odds & evens between the two.

I just mean like does anyone have any reviews from people they know about which they enjoyed and stuff like this it will all help in the long run.

My mate was in the army for a couple of years and loved it, it is hard work obviously and probably a fair chance of going away to fight somewhere at the moment. You probably won't want to bother buying a car right now if you do it?? Still when you come to buy one I think you can buy new cars without VAT, someone on the site mentioned I think?

Also you will probably come back witha fair bit of disposable income as yo won't need to spend much and will get paid not a bad wage.

Been in the Army for 11years,has its bad s**t days, but once you settle in its brilliant, cant comment on the police

You started off the topic by saying you had been thinking for months about joining, now your not joining for ages, you really do have to decide.

I'm in the Air Force, but know quite a few people in the army too. In my experience people either love it or hate it being in the forces, you just have to make the decision yourself!

Yep, you can get "Tax Paid" on your car if you are based in the UK, or get totally "Tax Free" if serving abroad. Quite a nice little saving.

had a friend who have join the police think it was in reading! needed two attemp before he join the police! get good money and cos his does work at night sometime there have more day off during the week! and he does like it!

im ex navy but had quite a few mates in the army and marines and one of these was an MP, they all seem to love it. go for it mate
