i do think it is, but with out club as it is soo small, its not the greatest idea tbh.

well put it this way, we have meets and go on holiday together, and tbh theres only normally 15-20 regular members to these (i know others have commitments) so i dont think it would work here

I'll just answer your question for this:

I agree that regional reps might well help take the load off myself and the team, but, when there are too many people with fancy titles things get messy and people become power crazed.

On this board the difference between myself, moderators and users is nothing. I'm not god and nor are the team. We do this in our own time and don't try and act all mighty and powerful... that's the way it will always stay.

The forum is slowly growing and the people that use it are great people and it's nice to have a smaller community of great people than a HUGE community of people that let you down and try and get more power.

Kevin and Micky have not long joined the team to help myself, Chris, ChrisC and Nick02 to keep things rolling. I think we have a strong team to organise anything that needs sorting.

If you wish to organise a meet around your area then you are more then welcome and one of the team will be more than helpful in making your post a sticky and helping get a little interest but if you wished to do this, then it is up to you to push it along.

I think the boards work fine as they are and everyone is happy with how things work. I'm not a fan of regional reps and buddies of the mods who have swanky names.

I hope this answers your question and helps.

Thanks,

Scotty

I think Scotty just about covered everything, I'd just like to add that if there were regional reps that the club would possibly get split into smaller groups and events like the ones done at summer would be less likely to happen.

Indeed thats correct.

I have always tried to do things slightly different on this website where we all come together and aren't split into little clicky groups... just one main group that everyone is and should feel welcome to join.

Smaller meet ups and shows are more than welcome but for everyone to join together is an important working of the site.

Thanks for pointing that out Micky

Not all that much more that I can add here, other to agree with what's been said above. I don't see the need for Regional Reps, as you can just end up with too many people having titles with little benefit.

It's already the case that it's a team effort in organising the meets, a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes which isn't seen, so it's not as if all the work is placed on one person anyways. The moderators aren't just here to moderate the boards, so if you have any questions about the meets that we're having, or any that you wish to organise then feel free to get in touch with myself.

Hope this clears thing a little.

Chris
