Mine went in on Tuesday and i drove it for the first time today, they hadn't even tightened the hand brake!
I tought when they serviced anycar they tightened the hand brake so it only comes up 3 clicks.

Depends what service you had done, dont think adjustment to handbrake is part of the 12000 service.

Technicians have to follow a schedual/check sheet when servicing, no matter who it gets given out to, you should be given a copy of that sheet when you collect your vehicle.

They change the oil and oil filter then plug the car into IDS and check/clear fault codes.

That's it - 1 hours work I'd say because you do the IDS work while the oil is draining

Benfield in Guiseley did mine for £140. And then they charge £9.99 (i think) for the paint inspection thingy.

why not get it serviced a performance tuner place, like Pumaspeed, Pumabuild, Torque of the Devil etc. Pumaspeed in Wakefield is about £77 - legislation has changed so you don't need to use your Ford dealer, as long as the garage uses offial Ford approved parts your warrenty is still valid.

The handbrake is adjusted on all services from the interior, if it gone beyond internal adjustment then it can be adjusted extenally for additional charge.

i would contact the dealership yourself as not all dealers offer the free check up so its best to give them a call and see.

I had a text to my mobile a couple of months ago from my dealer, it read.

Please book up for your 12 month service for 2008.

Then just after i had another text saying,

'Please book up now for your MOT, which is due on March 1st 2010'

They must be really busy!
