Hello,

Ive just bought an ST, phase 1! Im looking to install a Pioneer AVIC-D3BTi Sat Nav Entertainment System into it. This is a static double din system that will require a double din facia plate. Has anyone ever carried out such an installation and any tips that might be useful to me. By the looks of things i will also need a kit to house the air con and heater switches too due to the mould of the dash and original three unit radio/CD player, it seems to be all one unit that will need to be removed in order to carry out such an installation.

You will need to either cut the "slats" out from the middle of the dash in order to fit the stereo, or purchase what is known as the "sat nav" dashboard. It is basically the same as what you currently have but it just has an open hole rather than having the slats in.

Either way, you will need to purchase an adaptor from audioleads to fit as the hole is slightly bigger than a double din unit anyway.

I understand mine is a phase one so has a different fascia to the second phase ST. I think the second phase fiesta ST has a double din radio anyway or slot!
