right I am now confussed.......are we ment to meet tonight friday 5th or next friday 12th?.....if its 2nite i will try to get there but not 100% sure if i will be back from work in time...if its the 12th I am unfortunatly in London (its my Birthday and we are having a little trip to the big smoke!!!)

First and last meet! No one showed up!

not really sure what went wrong with this one did not get in from work till 9pm but thats another story......we have made a right old mess of this with last week and this...............I can totally understand u are pissed..... I was there last week driving round and round but then that was my own fault 4 not checking here for 2 days!!!

i unforunatly can not do next friday now as i am in London......will get something sorted sometimes.....meets are always a bit of a pain to get sorted tbh once u get into a floow its not too bad....

Why dont you organise it for, say, in a months time. Gives people plenty of notice, instead of organising it half arsed.

I can see things didn't really go well here but there is good things that can come out of it...

1. You are all interested in sorting something, when it is most convinient for everyone

2. Chopper, you cleaned your car up nice and shiney... it's no loss really... as you can enjoy it anyway.

3. There are quite a few members from the area and i'm sure more will come along in time.

Just to calm everyone down a little and bang on a bit...

When the site was first made, there was 4 people... it took LOTS of TIME, EFFORT and WORK to get people to join up and then a community to start. Our first meet was a stab in the dark and it took months and months of planning.

I personally think you guys are the best sort of people to organise out FIRST "inter-region" meet.

From experience of organising my own "inter-region" meets for the FFOC.co.uk West Midlands Region. Ask people what day best suits them first of all... NOT a specific date... just a day... like... some might go to the gym on tuesdays... but be free Wednesdays.

Once you have got all this information... set a date, minimum 3 weeks ahead that suits the majority of people.

Then most importantly... STICK WITH IT and the people who said they would go... STICK WITH IT too. A let down will never be trusted, or bothered with again.

I will step in and help with the organisation to the next meet just to get things rolling... I hope you guys could sort a regular monthly meet? That would be a really good social event.

Anyway... Chin up guys... not all lost... we're all here and everyone still wants to meet!!!

Adding to Scottys comment about a monthly meet lots of clubs do these and work well. The thing i notice most about these is where they are set. Most are on a weekday night at a pub. A great idea because if its cold you can go indoors warm up and have a meal or a drink and still chat. This would probably get a few more people interested in going aswell as its more appealing than a car park.
Like Scotty said the mods will quite happly do our best to get a meet off the ground. Its just something that takes time to organise.

I think it was all a bit rushed last time. I'm sure something can be sorted out. How about we start now. If you want i can get a new post started and make it a sticky so its easier for every one to see whats going on, Whos attending location ideas etc.
