No chance... next time I start her up she will have the choke out due to it being so bloody cold and it will just take me onto the Petrol Light. I need to go and fill her up. I am quite impressed with my 420miles

Like I said before, I got 465 from my Focus 1.8 some years ago but that was doing 2,500 rpm.
2,000 RPM is slightly labouring the engine and not as efficient!
Try 2,500 next time, you'll be amazed at the difference.
Perhaps Super Unleaded as well???

Once I finish this then I won't have the chance to do another just yet since, assuming I'd get even better mileage, it would still be going on for the Christmas meet meaning:

a) I'd be crawling down the motorway for about 150 miles at less than 50 mph - not really a good idea, and would probably be pulled over for it.

b) Everyone would leave me behind at the meet and I'd end up getting lost lol.

I shall have another test in the new year at 2500 and see how I get along then.

Indeed... we won't be going crazy at the meet though so no worries there... I'm sure people would like to go at a steady pace but obviously view road conditions.

Very good there Vicky.

I have now finished my challenge today also. Did I get more than 300?.....

Yes.

I actually ended up getting a bit more than that, getting just over 313 when the petrol light finally came on. I think thats pretty good.
