Avon = ditch finders in my past experience. The slightest bit of moisture and I was struggling for grip:-( White lines were scary lol!

you have me a bit concerned now! Has anyone else heard bad things about Avons? I have only ever heard really good things, the ZZ3s are supposed to be brilliant... Anyone know of professional reviews of tyres?

Has anybody looked at the Yokohama Parada 2 or the Toyo PX4?

I'm looking for front replacements but am also uneasy of having different rubber up front compared to the back..... might even end up getting Pzero neros again!!

I am yes. Your back tyres really dont matter that much as its a fwd car. Obviously once the backs do go, the T1R's on the front will go to the back and a new set will appear on the front so then i will have 4 altogether but only need to buy 2 at a time. They use a really nice soft material which allows a lot of grip and because of the new pattern compared to the T1S, it also allows a much better grip in the rain.

On my old Pzeros i didnt feel safe on the road at all and noticed a lot of slip but the T1R's took all those doubts away from the car now and it's best upgrade i've ever done to my car!

Thanks for the update but I've ordered a set of Avon ZZ3's due mainly to cost. I'm using ETyres and the ZZ3 are £70 a corner compared to the £83 for the Toyos. They're being fitted on Friday so once scuffed up I'll let everyone know what I think.

They way I figure nothing can be as bad as the current rubber in the wet/slime - I swear to God I actually had to keep to the speed limit today!

Ah right gone for the Z3's Steve, that is what I am hoping to get! When will you have them? Would be good to get a review of them before I buy if possible!

Heh hope not! I might try and get mine sorted on Saturday if I can. Really hoping they perform better in the cold and wet!

Well with 8888 miles on the clock I had to have my P zero-neros changed at the front. I went for the Avon ZZ3's and I am impressed so far. The tread is cool enough. I think it should effectively disperse water, and it feels like a slightly smoother ride.

You don't have to give it much in first to get them spinning, but certainly no worse than the P Zeros. On the way home there's a sweeping bend which usually I daren't nail the accelerator on, especially as it is wet at the moment, but today the tyres urged me to floor it in second, took it up to 60 in second and no loss of grip whatsoever, the car didn't even try to move.

Thumbs up for these tyres as very worthy replacements to the p zeros
