I don't want to spoil it for you so I won't rant it may put you off.

Most people love their STs.
I absolutely hated both of mine.

This may be because you are of older generation

To be honest though, we can't all like the same thing and individual views are all good, good or bad

Not really, I've had RSs in the past. I just find it a very poorly executed version of a car.
It's all down to cost compared to meeting Euro 4 emission standards, something had to give.

I think if anyone had driven a Mazda MX-5 Sport or the 3 Sport 2.0 which is the same engine but set up properly they would agree with me.

That's why the Focus ST is so good and why the RS won't disappoint.

Lessons learnt.

Lets hope so... I don;'t think mine will arrive until very late 2009 or early 2010 at a guess... long time to wait... but at least i can save up.

You may have a point there Dave. My sister has the MX5 Sport and I've driven it a fair few times and it just feels that bit punchier than the STs engine (as standard).

Indeed you have a point, have driven my friends mx5 and it is a lot smoother, feels a little punchier and being rwd is quite good fun
