Hi Guys
Trying to find out from ford (rubbish) what colour the 'live' and 'switched live' wires are behind the stereo on a MK6 Fiesta, so I can fit a phone hands free kit. For some reason, no one in the service departments of the several dealers I have called can help. They all suggested I call the 0906 premium rate number, strange....

Can anyone enlighten me please?

Thanks in advance
Woosty

what do you mean with those 2? you mean the 12V line and the switched 12V line?

well, can say that the switched one is the green/orange one.

if you have a multimeter or something, just read the valeus

if it wasnt so mutch work i would unscrew mine entirely and write it all down.

Thanks again.

FYI...

Bought a multimeter...

ORANGE/BLACK - 12V
GREEN/BLACK - Earth
GREEN/YELLOW - Switched

While removing the dashboard managed to bust the green clip holding the temperature contol cable in place and scratch the front of the stereo. TIP: Put several layers of electrical tape across the CD slot section, to protect it from the central spring clip on the inside of the central console panel. Just a warning, panel is VERY tight to get off, and I didn't work out there were two more screws behind the heated screen switch block for ages!

Hope this may be of help.

its the fancy black ebony radio and light switch surround (with grey GT pinstipe)
it was available as an option its in the book as "interior trim pack" you get the deluxe mats and the fancy dash £100+
Ford call it pianostyle I think because it has the black gloss look like you see on some pianos
I think there is a photo in here some where Or if you have the book its near the back
I couldnt find a ST that had it and the leather trim unless I did a factory order which was at least a 12 week wait All the ones I have seen it on have been the silver one for some reason with the privacy glass option too
I wanted the leather trim more than the gloss dash it looked easier to change at a later date
