Hi there... I would run the amp leads under the carpet for a neat install. I haven't fitted an amp to the ST, there is usually a gromet you can use on cars I have had in the past. Otherwise could drill a hole and use a gromet to stop it from rusting.

The guide here:

http://www.fordfiestast.co.uk/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=30029&an=0&page=0#30029

refers to the Mk6 pre-facelift, ie. Fiestas built between Spring 2002 and autumn 2005.

Behind the glove box you will find a rubber gromet try and push it from the inside to the outside quite fiddly , then feed the cable under the edge of the capet to the seats then fold the seats over and pull the amp cable through , dont forget when putting the earth from the amp to get some rubbing down paper and take away the paint from one of the seat bolts this will then ensure a proper earth connection

Really appreciate your help with this guys, i know what im doing done it many times before in other peoples cars all of them different never done a fiesta.

As for feeding the wires on both passenger and drivers side there are plasitc bit on the seals of the doors - are the quite easy to remove.

For the head unit, ive read the tutorial so i remove the buttons that are in each corner and then i can unscrew it.

Cheers again, just trying to make the job as easy and quick as possible as its so cold outside.
