just had the front tyres changed as the Pirelli's were pretty much finished.

went to Elite in Rainham, Essex, must say pretty decent shop, tempted to buy everything when i walked in.

anyway got them fitted for 168.00 with balancing and tracking included.

Handling is so much better, should have had them fitted sooner.

Next month going to have the rears changed as car needs to go in for MOT.

just wondering if anyone knew how long it takes for tyre to bed in?

cheers

50 miles is about right to scrub new tyres in on the front of a front wheel drive, 100 if they're on the rear

I had Avon ZZ3 fitted to a VRS Fabia (which always wanted to go straight on in the corners) and they were fantastic !! Wet or dry !!
That's what's going on the ST when the time comes for sure.

Changed my front P Zero Neros for the Avon ZZ3s also. Best tyre I've had ever. Inspires confidence in dry and particularly in the wet - never had much confidence with the p zeros in the wet!

I've got ZZ3's and I'm not a fan of their dry performance but love them in the wet. Its hard to explain, but although they appear to have more grip that the PZeros, they don't seem to 'give' in the same way.

Its personal preference but I'd rather have a tyre that looses grip progressivly from an early point than grip tighter then snatch away on you.
