£205??? You are feckin joking! This is not fair.. I bought my car before the new tax system came into force so how can they do this? Older cars stayed on engine size so why does the old system not apply in this case. God I hate Gordon Brown... what has he got against motorists? Labour is the new conservative. I might as well vote for them.

they can do what they want mate.
Since 2001 it has been based on emissions, for newer cars they are making even more of a point by charging more and more for the high emission producing vehicles. The worst culprits will be charged £950 in the first year and then drop down to a far more reasonable amount. Something like £500

It sucks, no doubt about it.

its a disgrace this government, but if they think it will stop me driving the car i want to drive they are sadly mistaken! And im sure they hope i think this way as its more money in the bank for them. Saving the world? absolute rubbish, just another way of easy cash that this absolute joke of a government con honest motorists out of. Here is an idea Gordon, how about getting all the scum off benefits and into work! Rant over.

Man I'm glad I swapped my ST for the TDCi. I thought £35 a year was good but £30 is even better!
It is s**te though that an ST is going to cost £205! That is quite a hike.

And they wonder why some dont bother to pay road tax,Great Britain does its bit for polution, what goods that if other countries cant be bothered as much, just a piss in the ocean, its bugger all to do with polution, its this government jumping on the band wagon to increase prices and use polution as an excuse.
Treble the price of fuel, people will still need it, if everyone sells thier gas guzzler tomorrow some body else will still buy them again. You dont see the government bods driving around in little mini's or the limo's changing to ittle fiat pandas.

Rant Over.
