I'm looking at getting my ST remapped to squeeze that little bit more BHP out of it (and MPG less importantly to me) but I was wondering the effects. If anyone has had it done could you please let me know what sort of difference it makes. Can you feel the power increase and what are the negative effects (if any) of it. I hear the BHP increase is around 15, or is that filthy lies?

It's probably around that figure but I don't think it's good value as the Dreamscience unit will set you back about £500. But then again, if money's no worry, go the full hog !! (my Wife would Divorce me)

How hard are the Dreamscience products to set up? I was looking at some yesterday and they sound excellent in theory, but as much as I love cars, I am s**t at mechanics and general handy work

You literally plug it in and follow the instructions. DS is very easy to do.

Yes lots of times my car was used in the development of the Dreamscience map for the ST at pumabuild, they were the first in the country to use it. Its also got the first Piper flexi pipe made on it, Alan who owns Pumabuild likes to try things out on my car I give him feedback if he likes it he sells it

Well it sounds like I should have a play around with a few mods first. So my finger is poised on the purchase button over on teamtorquesteer for an ST 57i Induction kit, but before I do, I just wanted to know the general opinion on one. I've read some of the other topics and it all sounds good. Is it a noticeable change?

Right sounds good to me. As I'm fairly straight up guy, I'm going to declare it on my insurance against my mates crappy advice, so how much will it add roughly?

It's just luck as to how much they'll charge, might be worth asking before you get it done? I know that some people have had various minor mods done and not been charged for it, or only charged very little and Admiral/Elephant charge £30 per mod. At the other extreme some insurers will refuse to continue your cover if you make any mods. It's just something that you'll have to ask them and see what they say.

Definitely inform them though, or your insurance becomes invalid.

Oh yeah I agree, and would definately declare it. I am with Admiral so hopefully it will be £30 standard charge, I will give them a ring though. Cheers guys.

To give you an idea how much of a difference mods make to the car. Mine is over double as if it was standard. Thats induction, full exhaust, lowered, seats, alloys you get the picture. If you are happy with paying the extra go for it
