Fiesta ST has won. Ford Dealers are very generous with the deals on the ST compared to the Seat dealers who all seem to think there are VW dealers and wont give any discount. Plus the ST actually drives better, quicker and has less problems than the FR. With the extra pennies i can save from a cheaper Deal on a ST , this will cover the extra insurance, petrol and tax cost over the FR.

Been to a Ford dealer today and they offered me 3 k off a colorado red ST with full leather seats. plus they would give me the correct part chop price on me focus estate.

Not sure if to have the red as it tends to look discoured after a bit. may try to get the performance blue. from dealer tomorrow in a deal.

Welcome.
Never liked the Ibiza. Even though the Fiesta is being replaced in October, it looks well better IMO than the Seat. Never been a fan of the brand.
The deal on the ST is quite popular as the fuel/Insurance is scaring a lot of people away.

Insurance dont bother me, its only going to cost me about 80 quid a year more than me focus 1.6 estate. and for fuel if i dont drive like a twoc'er I should get the same fuel aconomy as me focus. its the tax that annoys me.

£170 this year, £205 next year, and £210 the year after. Gordon Brown now has got to go, He aint no Tony Blair, no other country is shafting its people like ours.

We have a saying in our dept at the moment "Gordon Brown is a Fu****g Clown".
Hes out next general election and he knows it.

Colorado Red or Performace blue, Stripes or no stripes. too many choices !!

Hi welcome to the site. Nothing against the red ones but performance blue is great

Get it naked and add stripes at a later date if you want them, be cheaper than Ford doing it for you too!

Ok.

Been to dealer this afternoon.
Took the Fiesta ST out. My god, its a f***King animal.
Full exceleration in all gears , no flat spots and this is in a 57 , 11k miles one. no contest ibiza FR pants, ST brill, Sorry GK Seat in Derby but you missed out on a sale you should have offered a discount when you had chance before me ST test drive HAHAHAHAHA. I am going to the Seat Ibiza forum and encourage any noobs there not to buy Ibiza FR's but the ST.

Got a good deal from GK ford in Mansfield. They just about matched TCH ford in Derby, but the saving I would have got from TCH Derby over GK Mansfield did not matter as it would had meant me traveling back and fourth to derby and I aint got time. Plus Mark at GK was excellent.

Hopefully get mine either later this week or early next week. Yippee.

Ant its the Performance blue. !!!!!!!! no stripes as I aint up for showing off plus nottinghamshire crime stats are high and i dont want to attract Twoc'er attention.

I am happy. Also forgot to mention I am an old dude but me insurance is cheap.

Seen a few STs up here, but not many with the stripes.

Good to hear you've gone for the ST but red red red all the way.

Actually, if it wasn't for the pain in keeping it clean I'd go for white with stripes, but blue looks good in naked, side stripes or full stripes. It is an ST only colour, so if you're trying to blend in go for black or silver.

hello welcome to the site. having own a ST and now having a polo gti which is the same as the ibiza FR can tell u than the fr/gti is faster in straight line than the ST and also more economical better mpg compared to the st and more quiet on motorway as for the rest, handling, price, style (stripes) and better equip than the FR I think

To be honest with you I took a look at a 18 month old Polo GTI. it was a bit tatty and it had 18k on the clock and the dealer wanted 11,500 the same price I got the brand new ST for. I am afraid to say it but as my wife told me its a hair dressers car and if your having a GTI you need the Golf. plus it had those stupid Tartan seats. Also its actually slower than an ST you need to check the stats. For the FR (130 TDI) I test drove one and its was extremely uncomfotable, plus there seems to be a lot of problems with the ibiza's Check the Ibiza forums. The Seat dealers pissed me off loads with not even offering any discount at all off a brand new one. I a well chuffed with me ST.

So far I never had any problem with my GTI can't say the same with my previews ST and sold it even so I love it and do so much on it.As for performance to have drove of them the GTI/FR is faster in straight and there few videos on youtube between a gti VS ST. as for the seat there the same as the original golf GTI seat and don't think they look that bad. As for a hair dresser that ur views but at least not like the ST I dont see many polo GTI around were ever I go.Like I say above the ST is better over all but the gti feel more grow up and discret. As anyone on the site to see I'm honest on this subject and agree that the ST is better and would have still own one if it wasn't for all those problems and needed to go to the dealer every week
