I can not recline my driver seat up, the lever has always been a bit sticky but usually if you pull the lever in one quick movement straight through the "latch" point it works, now the lever just won't go past the latch point, any force I am sure will break it, I know others have had similar problem, what is the fix ? (1st service in a few weeks)

Its a common problem on the mk6 range not just the ST. Some dealerships say they keep a pile of these latches in stock because they go so often. It *should* be a straight warranty job.

mechanic had a fiddle and got it working, seems a bit easier now, have myself put lots of grease on both bars and hooks at the bottom, see if that helps.
