I like this quote .... :

"Shoe-horning a 150 PS, 2.0-litre engine into granny's shopping trolley is bound to produce some sparkling results"

lol, yeah, imagine this with the 2.0l engine in!

Actually.. in the local rag last week (Eastbourne Herald) there was an article where an old boy was getting done by the for reckless driving of an invalid carriage! He ran some old dear over in front of the pier!! HA HA HA

Chris, I was down in Eastbourne (again) on Saturday and my uncle was telling me the same story. I'll tell you what, you can't move along the prom down there for those bloody invalid carriages, or birds on roller blades who think they're at Miami beach...

Hmm.., I dont see many babes on rollerblades... but plenty of old duffers mincing up and down the prom! they seems to all flock to the bus stop there - by the pier. I think they do sightseeing tours or something! lol.

if u come down my way again soon, give me a shout, I want a ride in ur ST! lol

Actually, the Golf's not too bad, its got 140bhp and infinitely more torque than the ST so I reckon it could give it a proper run for its money.

Oh, it was down in Bournemouth that I went on the dotto train!

Parksey, yeh I know the golf has more torque etc etc but (without being offensive to your dad) most golf drivers tend to be in the same club as those smug merchant bankers who drive 320 beemers! lol. (not everyone of them of course but..) Id much prefer the ST, it looks so much better.

Spoon, yes same boat here... Im counting the days.. the 1/2 days!! lol. I just wanna get the damn thing ordered!! lol

Oh yeah, my ST looks infinitely better than my Dad's Golf. You're right, bar the GTi, the Golf does fall into largely the same category as the BMWs, Audis, etc. My Dad's one is a company car after all!
