My role at work over the last two weeks has been to road test EVERY Jaguar XKR-S that has come off the production line.

We are building a limited edition run of 200 and have just finished the final batch of 195.

You couldn't make it up

i have tried it mate and its bloody hard work pricing up jobs and then trying to get money out of people.
applied for a job at B+Q i think i need to just get a job and earn regular money. sick and tired of self employment not knowing where the money is every week.
the hourly rate for tradesmen is gradually coming down now, about 3 years ago my day rate was £200 minimum a day now its dropped to £120 a day and its still slipping. seen jobs at £9 an hour for time served joiners and i take that as a kick in the balls after my training and hard work i have done.
cant complain too much though, ive had it good for a few years money wise so its time to sit back and come down to normal money

I understand what you are saying. It is very difficult to sort things out on your own and its much easier to get a company to do it for you and just do the job for them and get regular pay.

Let us know how you get on with things... get your CV on Monster.co.uk as i've had about 3-4 recruitment agencies phone me up every single day for the last 2 weeks getting me job interviews. It's nice knowing somethings happening behind the scenes.

cheers Scotty, times are hard all round for many people not just in construction! i know quite a few people from different types of work who have had redundancy notices. i got knocked back for a job on a production line because im over qualified to put machines together lol
i have been a bit too fussy with job selection as i keep looing at what they pay and thinking 'i wouldnt get out of bed for that' but...... i have got to pay the bills and feed the kids!

If everyone starts complaining about them then we'll know who to blame then!

Yes, he's to blame for ALL of the probs we have, he is in charge of our Robots, (he calls them his friends ); but how can this be , he spends most of his time at work on the pc looking at FFOC .

I'm sure he is going to shout me down when he hears this , but peeps........It's true .

Sorry James, the truth is out there.
