Just use the car then get rid when you're bored/broke (which will be soon)

Then you can buy a Diesel Fiesta and with your spare cash, get some slippers and a pipe. Also, those Argos points will get you one of those tartan blankets for your lap on a cold day ....

Yes and sit playing kids computer games all day as well

Missed that one Dave !

Craig I would suggest you aren't far off the mark there. Each car will vary but I think around 50mph is where it's most frugal.

Incidentally I drove 200 miles to sheffield yesterday and back! Long drive but I decided to take my time, accelerate gently and keep it to 70 exactly, very little change in speed other than for overtaking. I am now sat at 35.4 mpg, not too shoddy at all, and on target for about 340 miles out of a tank allowing for computer inaccuracies, much better than usual!

Fuel MPG would not be a problem if we had a government that Taxed the fuel fairly. But The government have to gain the lost tax back from some where since they cut down the amount of fags people smoke by banning smoking in pubs , clubs etc.
Its a load of bullshit coming from Central government bout having to increase tax on cars/fuel to cut global warming, just check the americans they aint doing it.
