Hope fully Ford will get the new fiesta right, unlike Seat with the new Ibiza which is a pile of crap using the same engines as the old model.

New Fiesta has same engines as old model.

I think Duratec HE is discontinued though.

There's really nothing wrong with using the same platform, engines, chassis etc from the old car to the new car if there's nothing wrong with them.
It's called "top-hatting"

Developing the car costs a lot of money, why spend on new when the old one "aint broke".

EG: The dash board/fascia/instrument panel (whatever you want to call it) on the Jaguar XF cost $35,000,000 to develop for LHD and $20,000,000 for RHD.
And that carries over the whole steering column/shrouds and switches from the S-Type and the steering wheel is carried over from the XK and the Nav Screen is Cross Car Line.

I read in an article that Richard Hammond did on the new Fiesta the other day and he said later next year Ford are putting an engine in it that will do 73mpg. That right Dave?

Yep but it's the same engine that's in current Fiesta only tweaked.

Econetic yes

90BHP 1.6 TDCi 70+ MPG Below 100 emissions so zero road tax

It will have the ST spoilers and lowered (not stiffened) suspension to reduce drag, plus low rolling resistance tyres and better friction reducing oil in the gearbox. Final drive ratio is higher as well I think.

I predict it will sell and sell and sell.

As far as I know, there aren't any at the minute, as it hasn't been unveiled yet.
