Hi all! ive just put a deposit down on an 06 Fiesta ST in white and will be collecting it next tuesday or wednesday from Evans Halshaw. I am having removed the bonnet/roof stripes though as im not a big fan of them, its a bit too conspicuous!

I have jumped ship from www.seatcupra.net, i am part-exing a Seat Ibiza 1.9TDI 2002 Sport with the PD130 engine, it had 170-180bhp and 280ft/lbs of torque and i had a few mods such as a miltek, K&N cone filter, remap, black diamond discs and powerflex bushes. I dont think point to point the ST will be slower though and it doesnt have quite so much wieght above the front wheels!

hi and welcome to the site! I think you will most likely find the ST isn't as quick when overtaking on the motorway but day to day driving should certainly be more fun

What mpg were you getting on the Seat? As indicated you will definitely be visiting the petrol station more often!

Thanks for the welcome I was getting only 300 miles from a 10 gallon tank in the diesel SEAT, i am into my "spirited" driving though cross country and most of the other driving was in town conditions. I doubt i will be getting 50mpg at 90 mph though in the ST!

so it was immense at overtaking, no gap was really too small on country lanes. although i was very impressed with the low down torque of the ST when i tested it!

Fluffy - its the cars spec written on the window, saying it has mp3 cd and so on i think!

At the moment i have a few plans of getting the windows tinted, getting the alloys painted a graphite grey sort of colour and a miltek cat back resonated exhaust. This all will be done over the course of the year! Will look awesome then

just got it today, such an adrenaline rush! such a good car, handles amazingly! probably a tad slower than the seat but not by much, such a good noise that engine makes too!!! the exahust pops and crackles as standard too .... now ive run out of superlatives :S
