Thing was it was my mate at an independant garage who called his mate at Ford who gave him the duff info. Can't understand why they would do it as I was bound to ring around and get it done elsewhere. They may as well have been honest first thing and got paid for the warranty work from Ford

Ah well at least it should be getting sorted for nothing now. Just gotta hope it doesn't take too long!

I got the car from a garage up in Hull. My mate down here is fine, he's an old family friend and would never pull a cheap trick, I was there when he spoke to the Ford dealer. He also knows I would have just bought the part and fitted it myself rather than pay the labour charges. He lets me use his ramps when they're shut, which makes jobs like this a lot easier!! lol
