Thought you guys might be interested in this...

Thursday I got my car supercharged at JamSport, it made 220bhp but needs some more mapping, so more to come on the power front.

Here here is a few pics and a video

babyboom, with the nature of the supercharger and the way it delivers the power there will be no traction problems, plus i have a quaife diff, bilstein suspenion, poly bushes all round, etc so will be fine.

beer monster, this is a £3300 conversion with the intercooler that price doesn't include fitting and mapping. The conversion was carried out by JamSport
(www.jam-sport.co.uk)

Insurance depends on the person so would be better of asking ur insurance

my car is a year old so up to you really lol

looks great, as Dave says, it would be interesting to know the affect on insurance, just in relative terms, I imagine a lot of mainstream insurance companies wouldn't do it or charge stupid money.

How do you find it to drive? Is it killing Focus STs and VXRs? DO you have any performance info like 0-60 and 0-100?

If only I had a few grand spare... it must be awesome! Well done and keep us posted!

very nice,,,, did you lower the compression ratio?? and does it require an after market ECU to run it.

It seems a bit extreme for me and not in a good way. If I had a new ST and a spare £3-4k I think I'd have got a faster car in the first place. I know anybody can but a faster car but your ST is a bit more special, but rarely have I seen a highly modified car that actually works as a useable package.

I'm impressed that you've given it a go and will be interested to see the progress but I'd love to see how the car now behaves in town and on twisty B-roads.... might be a bit of a handfull?
