Just wondered how long it generally takes for the used car to arrive at the dealership once ordered through 'Ford Direct'. I was told 1-3 weeks, however the car was ordered on the 7th and the 'paperwork' arrived at the dealers just 4 days later. I cant see how loading a car onto a transporter and driving it 300ish miles can take 3 weeks

yeah u can tell lol, patience is a virtue, i had to wait around 3 weeks for my st from ordering it as it had to come from the 'south of england', i know what u mean tho, my rx-8 tho, test drove it and got it the next day lmao

well it all depends on how many extras you've ordered like stripes etc and then checks have to be done etc, but ye patience my friend!!

I havent had any dealings with Ford Direct to be honest.

The only thing the "SalesPerson" told me was that you cant decline the car and he would expect a large deposit! Erm no thanks! Well nothing against Ford Direct, it was the Sales Person that didnt sell the car.

Just be cautious of that, just incase .

my ST is a ford direct car. i got it at 10 months old with about 5000 miles. the car had a few extras and i paid £8,600 after we traded in my wifes knackered punto for £2000! the salesman was very very helpful and i cant big him up enough. we didnt ave to put a big deposit down, only £500.

I got my old zetec s tdci from ford direct, it came from somewhere down in england (EO56?) and got delivered to my dealership in inverness (north scotland) in about 5 days. I also got my current ST from ford direct aswell but that came from elgin, about 35 miles, so it arrived the next day. Like 'STrick' the salesman was VERY VERY helpful, couldn't of ask for anyone better.

in the end i was quite happy with the service - salesman was pretty good - shame about my valet (see other post)

in the end - im well chuffed with the car and the price i paid - thats the main thing
