Hi Guys, started my 06 ST up for the first time in a fortnight last night and the red warning light illuminated with the message "engine system fault" displayed in the trip computer.
On the dash, the ABS, Engine and transmission (flashing) lights are also illuminated.

Took her out for a spin today to see if it would shake and the speedo isn't working and the handbrake warning light remains on too.

Electrical fault or dead car?

Some sort of ECU or electrical fault. Don't drive her and get Ford to hook it up to their computer to check it out, could be just a glitch in the matrix!!

Try unplugging then reconnecting the battery. Should reset the car.

Phoned ford and they said it sounds like a sensor has gone. Anyone had similar problems before?

Yep same with my old clunker lol She ran like a bag of whatnot when she'd been parked up in Arun's mum's garage for the weekend til I gave the car a toot on the go-go pedal

Yep agree with JamesC think it is an ABS sensor failure.

Had similar symptoms to those you describe on mine and also my mates Fiesta and both turned out to be a faulty ABS sensor.
