Hi, iv just had the above fitted. I didn't realise they take the engine cover off with '2.0l duratec' or whatever is says on it. Does this need to be put back on after at all?

Its pretty good by the way £80 seems a bit of a bargain.

Thanks very much

who took it off - there is no reason you don't fit the nice looking ford airbox back in its place, ok not doing anything now but depends on your view, it does cover up the rocker and leads. Not sure how it fits, probably just bolted down or sits on some bungs. Just fit the box only back. I am same but will be getting a Stainless rocker cover from Torqsteer which simply sticks/velcro over the rocker cover - nice.
Also assume you have fitted a cold air feed pipe ?

enjoy
sw

Ah, nice one mate. I'v just taken it to Demon tweeks today and they put the standard bits in my boot. I'll prob put it back on, just checking there was no functional use behind it. I did forget to check with my insurance company before putting it on and they'v just told me im not covered woops. I'll be looking for a new insurance company on monday.

Thanks again steve

Hi hampo,

Yeah i got them to fit it, just checked my receipt and it was £57.78 for the K&N including fitting. Cheaper than i thought, i got a discount tho because i know the sales manager. If ur thinking of doing it i would, its made a heck of a difference. Throttle is loads more responsive and it sounds pretty good.

Some pics -

Just got new insurance because my old one was void with modifying, woops. I used to be with direct line, now with bell and its an extra £20 a month. Well worth it tho, i'm well impressed with it. Bargain.

Ha, thats weird . Yeah absolutely lovin it. Had some new tyres fitted as well and the steerin wheels a bit shacky at times so i might be getting that checked if it doesn't go away. Had it for a month and well impressed, a lot faster than i thought. What year/colour is yours?

Nice! I would have preffered a naked ST, didn't have much time to buy tho. There is some crackin roads, i was in Oswestry yesterday funny enough. The road between Chirk and there is pretty cool. Lots of overtaking was done, lol.

U'll have to put some picks up of your ST.

Prob new manifold and flexi pipe at crimbo then lower it. Don't really think it needs a lot. It's supised a lot of people so far and kept up with far more expensive motors. I'm pretty pleased as you may have guessed . Go for the induction kit, it sounds easy enough to fit yourself to be honest and i'm useless when it comes to mechanics.
