C'monnnnnnnn owners!! Get yor names down for this .

This meet is when you can REALLY say that your mods were worth the money.

We did the 0-60 at Silverstone last year and my best was 8.23 secs.

That was with Powerflow flexi, Sports Cat, Cat-back, iridium plugs, magnacor leads and induction kit.

Craig got 7 point something with just a back box and K&N.

Mine was RR at 167bhp, unfortunately Craig didn't get the chance RR his before he had to get rid of her, but it was quicker than mine.

This opportunity does not come around very often, so, don't be shy!!

Also!!!!!!

Just got off the phone with Jamie King @ Fastford magazine - they would definately be interested in featuring our R/R day - that confirmation came from Dan the editor

They are keen to feature young/smaller clubs and would make the trip to the midlands to feature us.

They said they would feature 12 cars, no more/no less and we would have to choose the 12 for the feature. They want the 12 to be all Fiesta STs and would need a brief description on each car before they give us a definate yes or no for the feature. The description would need a basic list of mods and an owners expected power output for the car.

They do have enough features for about the next 6 months - so if they come to feature us - we would obviousley be in the mag about 5/6 months later.

Come on guys

Without sounding too petty here:

1. We're not a small club... we're the largest Fiesta ST club on the net... reason for less members than STOC is because i don't make sign up compulsary

2. I'm not interested in the slightest about Fast Ford or what they have to say... if they don't want to come along then they can quite happily stay at home. I'm not being held to ransom.

3. This is not just an club, its a members club for If you want to organize for just s your looking at the wrong site. This would discount Me, Mick and Craig and other people on the site who don't have s in one swoop...

4. Micky, why would you pay £20 to RR someone else's car, wouldn't you want to do your own? I believe what i posted in comments 2 and 3 relate to this. I'd be interested in variety and seeing what your car's figures are, i already know what a standard is.

5. That late in Nov will spoil the X-mas Event as that will only be 3 weeks later. This needs to be early Nov, if the garage can't do it, find another.

Sorry for my rant but this really clashes with all what the site stands for and i'll never steer in that direction... everyone is welcome no matter who they are, now many limbs they have and what ever car they have. As far as i'm concerned we are not new, we've been here 5 years and even before STOC and both sites run differently, this is how we manage to work together well now. Magazines are nice but they can take a running jump if they want to tell us what we "can" and "cannot" do. I thought "Fast Ford" was supposed to be about Ford's, not just Fiesta s? Either way I am looking forwards to this just as everyone else in this post including Craig with his RX8... lets not spoil it before it's even got off the ground.

I look forwards to hearing your responses on this and helping get things sorted.

I don't really understand why you are lost for words?

Why organize something that not everyone can get to... half that list if me, Micky and Craig who all don't have s, there has to be a certain number of people attend for the garage to do it obviously, and i don't think you'd get the numbers without us... also you would end up losing people who might come with other cars or even other fords.

This is a great idea, im all for it... but i'm not for changing what this site is all about... thats a no no in my view.

Andy didn't specifically arrange the meet for just ST owners though. It was for anyone who wanted to come along. It's only Fast Ford who would need 12 ST's, so there's nothing stopping everyone without ST's coming along.

I do agree with Scotty on Fast Ford calling us small/young though. We're not either of those lol.

Maybe we can arrange it without Mags and get the people interested, if the mags want to come along they are more than welcome.

Let me know, at the end of the day, my response on the date is just my opinion but we're only making the garage overtime money so its all good for them... i'm sure we can get quite a few garages to do what ever date we would like. I just feel it would be too close to organizing something to X-mas... people would think it was too close and select only 1.

Only other thing we can do is move it to Mid December and incorporate it with the X-mas meet... that would be nice also.

Please feedback on this everyone who;'s interested.

December is out of the question for me.
It's probably best early November as originally suggested. Due to my hectic work schedule, the dates I offered were the only ones. Never mind, there's always 2009

maybe we can work with that Jon, see what others say. I'd love Nov also, gives me something to look forwards to in the near future.

Don't give up Andy you are doing a good job at organising it

I agree with some of Scottys points.

The mag feature would be good for this site but it needs to stay in the spirit of this site. That is any one is welcome st or no st. I Have never owned one but have felt welcome for 3 and 1/2 years.

Have you got an email address for the guy you spoke to? i can get in contact with him and see what he thinks. I'll also send him a link to this post so he can see that we are not a small site. I think alot of the problems is that when we go to shows we usually have a small stand. But who cares about that? Not everyone is into shows and we do have a great social side at our meets. There is also alot of information on this site and its easy to navigate. Not to mention that we are a world wide site. Members in Switzerland/ Netherlands/ france Australia etc.

With regards to the date i think tying it in with a christmas meet is a good idea. Maybe do something in the evening. I know that cas for one woulndn't come along during the day but sure she would love to go out for a social meal in the evening.

There is, but we still have 2008 left yet...

It seems you all are interested and want to do it... so lets get this off the starting blocks once again...

1. We need to find garages that have early Nov slots open, can anyone help find these?

2. More people need to stop hiding behind there nice keyboards and be ultra brave and come along, even if you have to walk on the rollers to get 1BHP... just come!!! Bring your Van, Bike, Mom... what ever...

Just to add that I tend to agree with some of the points raised above. One of the thing's that's always differentiated this site is that we don't care who turns up to the meets, it's just a way for any member to come along and have a good time, and will always be that way.

That's not to say that it wouldn't be nice to have the publicity of Fast Ford, but it's not the be all and end all. If they want to come great, if not tough.

Also, I tend to agree that having it a couple of weeks before the xmas meet would make some people chose one or the other, early November as originally suggested would be better for this reason. Out of the rest of that month, the 15th and 22nd I probably wouldn't be able to make myself anyways.

Don't get disheartened by the comments Andy, you have done a great job so far, just a few things needed to be pointed out that's all.

Thanks
Chris

Andy, i'm a straight to the point guy... i don't do messing around, when you get to know me more, you'll see my points are not directed in the way they read... I like to get my view across and get things onto a road we are all on, instead of going different ways and ending up not really wanting to arrive where we do.

It's brilliant you are helping to organise, it's usually only the team that sort things so i'm really greatful for your help. I will work along side you in every way to help things... if you wish to have a chat or just a good old rant at me, then please drop me a PM

I did need to add my points as the site is what i've been building up for 5 years and i just like to keep it heading a certain direction

Right to get the ball rolling again a list of rr in the uk. I don't have the time to contact them but if anyone else does please do and let us know if we can get one done for the start of november.

I can only do the 1st and the 15th but if others can only make the other weekends we can do it for then
