Right after the cock up on the last thread were going to do this again.

Can you post up if you would be interested is doing this st or no st! I will contact fast ford again and see if they would be interested in doing a feature. This would be a bonus and a great idea from the last thread. If they won't come it's not the end of the world as we will still have a great time and i'm sure we can go out for a meal in the evening.

The event will take place on the 1st or 8th or 15th of november. This depends on what day we can book a rolling road for.

Get your names down and we can get the ball rolling again. This is a great idea for a meet and will be a great day out.

Any help in sorting this out would be great. I don't have the time at the moment to find a rolling road but i can spare the time to keep this organised and in a postive matter.

Come on Guys, we will need about 15-20 cars to pull this off. Come in a pedal go kart if you want and we can do that( not sure if a go kart would fit on the rollers but you get the idea)

I'm going to sound a little ignorant here but what sort of process do you take your car through on the rolling road? Does it mean taking it to 6500 rpm where the ST outputs its highest power rating?

You car is straped down onto the dyno. It is then run up to 4th gear and you will get a base line. This is done under normal acceleration not reving the nuts off of it. Once a base line is set the car is reved through its rev range in 4th gear. This will give you the power line.

It's not taxing on the car and is perfectly safe. The car would be warmed up before doing a run.

If you have a look on youtube for dyno you will see what happens.

They will run it through to around that figure, maybe a bit less... once the curves die off they let off the gas...

I did mine 200 miles after i picked her up and she is perfectly fine 90,000miles later.

It's not at all damaging to your car.

I'm coming!!! Want to see what my baby has still

just got three emails back

The Linden Building

8th or the 15th November should be fine. We charge £30 per car up to 20 cars. £25 per car for up to 40. Max we can do in a day is 40. Each car gets as many runs as it takes to do two runs within 1bhp - some cars will get 2 runs, some may get 12 runs. We monitor air fuel ratio on each car and boost on forced induction motors. We usually start at 9am and go flat out until its done. Usually 4-5 cars an hour to give you an idea. 40 cars would be finished at around 5pm.

Let me know what your guys want to do.

Thanks for doing that Craig.

I would suggest the 1st or 3rd place. Purley because its more central.

Now it is a case of what day people are free. Sunday might be better for some and would suit me better.

Lets narrow it down to the 8th and 9th Of Novemebr.

If your free on those days post in here and we can get this arranged

The only day in November i can't do is the 8th as i have my Nephews wedding.

The 9th would be o.k, albeit being a little hung over, , or any other.

At a push, I may be able to do the 15th. NO chance for any other date.
Not fussed about the venue.
