Hi all, i have finally got round to uploading some of the pics i took of the day we had at Trax last Sunday, 7th September '08.
We started off meeting at Coleshill at a really early hour
We headed off to Silverstone, via meeting up with a few more members at the services on the way.
When we got there, we found it was every club stand for themselves.
Really bad organising by the Silverstone stewards.
Well, as the weather was a tad cold, and the heavens opened, we wasn't that bothered where we parked, we were just glad that we could drive into the site and not walk like the spectators.
After a quick walk around with Dave, Andy and Kenny, looking at some of the wierd and wonderful cars that were on show.......
We soon noticed that there were a few mouthwatering sights that warmed everyone up.
After this i decided to risk the rain and set off to the track to see if there was anything going on, this is just a little of what i saw 'drifting'......
And just when the crowd was in amazement at that chaps skills, out came a real mouth-watering motor that really showed everyone how to take that corner in the wet...............
Then the Focus
showed everyone how to take the corner at speed without losing traction
After this came a three lap contest where two cars went out together and did three broken laps against each other, scoring points for speed, positioning etc.
Most of the cars that came out were Skylines, and they not only sounded nice....they went....
Unfortunately, where there is rain and speeding cars there is the occasion when things go wrong.....
And Finally, before the day ended we managed to set the remaining cars up for a few more pics on what 'may' have been our stand
....
I had a great day, with great company, old and new
as allways.
