Try Tescos, they came up top for me when I got mine renewed in August. They seem really helpful as well, lot better than my previous dealings with AA Insurance anyway.

Ouch, It definately helps being a few yrs older! I'm 24 with 5yrs no claims and my premium was £393 with direct line. That was after they matched a quote from privilege tho.

Direct Line for me everytime. I'm 23 with 4 years NCB and paid £400 inc my NCB being protected as well.
My hubby is with Direct Line and i made it cheaper for him if i was added onto the policy so its always worth trying. Unfortunately he made is more expensive for my insurance due to a claim and some points he has.

£493.11 all mods declared, 3 years NCB with Elephant. Nothing but 101% helpful and professional, friendly service from them (until I make a claim? lol)

These post really annoy me..... no 1 insurance company is garanteed to be cheaper than another. Quite simply they quote they give you depends on what level of risk they are prepared to accept and how needy they are for your business that day.
If you're looking for cheap insurance, pick up the phone and ring around. I've had a renewal come through which they said they couldn't improve on so 5 phone calls later I went back to them asking to cancel based on getting a better quote elsewhere. They matched the price then and there but I still went with the other guys as they didn't lie to me!...... I know in 6 months they will!
1st port of call is internet comparison, then check the guys who don't use these sites (direct line, churchill etc) and as a last resort look in the back of max power for 2 bit operations who supposardly give you legal cover. Personally I don't think its worth getting cheap insurance..... yes its money that's thrown down the drain, but if you've ever had to claim you will know why you want a company that will fight your corner and pick up the phone.
PS - Elephant are ok, but stay clear of bonus accelerator schemes as they're a rip off!

I have never been told by any insurance company they cant better the renewal price.. they just hope you think that and renew blindly. I rang Elephant and just by going through my policy details the renewal went from £616.36 to £563.33 and then he went through to the underwriters and came back with £540.55. Greenlight came up with £472.70 and Elephant came back with £493.11 so in three phone calls the renewal went down £123.25.
It always pays to call around and its not like this has taken me days to do either.. 3 phone calls and about a half hour on the net filling out 3 or 4 online quote forms so an hour-hour & half max really.

Last time I checked you pay excessivly more than 10/12 of the full year just to get you ncb 2 months early.
