Need to then agree on a certain meeting point for those arriving around the same, a pub car park maybe on the main road into Blackpool.

Just a suggestion, but a meeting point could be one of the car parks that are in and around the Pleasure beach..? followed by a convoy up and along the Promenade, stopping for photos etc

Sounds good - visitors to Blackpool probably know that area of town better than me! I live at the opposite end of town.

It's a few years since I was last at Blackpool, but there did used to be loads of free parking to the south of the Pleasure Beach (the opposite side to which most people go in). I'll have to have a look into this to see if this is still the case.

I normally get to Blackpool atleast once a year, don't know what attracts me so much but II enjoy it everytime i go! This is turning out quite well upto now
Hotels/B&B wise, if your deffinatley coming, i'd book a room/s earlier rather than later, plenty of hotels to choose from obviously...such as:
Bromley Hotel, Tiffanies, North Grange Hotel, Elgin Hotel, Imperial Hotel, Crewes Origional Hotel etc etc

There is a nice big open gravel carpark at the South end of the strip as you get to the front where the cart track is it worked well as a meet up when the STOC NW group of us meet up....its pay and display like all the carparks in Blackpool but we stayed with the cars and never saw a carpark attendant
