Hey All

Here are the details about an event that I know a lot of you have been waiting for...

For the last two years we've had a special event leading up to Christmas, and this year is going to be no exception. Our Christmas Event weekend will be on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of December in Warwickshire.

The weekend will be starting on the Saturday when some of us will be going down. We haven't decided yet what we will be doing then, this is something that is being left free at the minute, so if anyone has any suggestions on what they would like to do then feel free to speak up.

The main event however will be on the Sunday. We shall be going for lunch at this special place here at 3pm:

West Midlands Golf Club

Having been before I can say that it is in a really nice location, and the meals are excellent. They have a three course carvery on a Sunday which I'm sure everyone will enjoy. I know everyone did last year. They have kindly agreed to set tables up for us, providing we let them know in advance the numbers coming. It's a chance to have a nice meal, in a great location, and also for everyone to get all dressed up.

We may well have a photoshoot there also. I know that people sometimes think there's a lot of faffing around, but once the pictures come out, I think everyone agrees that it is well worth it.

Later in the afternoon we will be heading for Tamworth and going here at 6.45pm:

Tamworth Snowdome

We will be going tubing here for half an hour, and I hope that everyone has a lot of fun. It's something that I've never done before, so I'm not totally sure what to expect, but I'm sure it will be a right laugh!!

Then, we will be heading across the road to here for bowling:

Strykers Bowling

I hope everyone has as good a time at this as when we've done this in the past.

I'm sure it will be a good day for all. All of this however will need to be booked in advance, therefore if you wish to come then I will require payment asap as a deposit. The total cost comes to £23.25, and I will require payment in advance. This covers the tubing, bowling, plus a £5 deposit for the restaurant to enable us to book the tables. If you are coming then please leave a message on here, and contact me to arrange payment, by the 7th of November.

Just one final point. Although I expect that a lot of the people who come to be "regulars" who've been to events before, it's not just for those who've come before, EVERYONE on the site is welcome. I hope that anyone who's reading this might have also read the Blackpool event report, and seen what a good time we have at the events. If anyone new is reading this then why not do something a little different and put your name down? We're all a friendly bunch and everyone will be made welcome who attends.

Thanks all
Chris

We've had to put down a £100 deposit upfront (TODAY) for the meal so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you get your deposits sent over to us asap and get your names down.

Kenny, will you be coming alone or with someone just to make sure we keep check on places.

If you are unsure of coming and want to know what its all about...

Scott, I've just had a look and they've completely changed all the times from what they were. A few weeks ago when I looked the tubing was at 6.45pm on Sundays, with the tobogganing earlier in the afternoon and later in the evening.

Looking at it now, they've stopped doing the tubing on Sundays. They have toboganning sessions running from 5.30-7.45pm instead. Given that we're going to the golf club at 3pm, may I suggest we get to the Snowdome for tobogganning for 6.30pm for a half hour session if that's ok with everyone?

..I was going to opt for the tobogganning anyway, and as far as i know this is what Lee would opt for also.
Tobogganing sounds great.

Hi All,

Just an idea on things for people.

I know Chris is coming down on the Saturday and possibly Kev popping over but if anyone wishes to come over and say hi then I am available all day.

I think Chris is hoping to arrive around 11-12 on the Saturday. I think we will pop to the tree farm and get some X-mas Trees and then get back and attempt to clean the cars if it's possible and not raining.

We shall then be chilling out and going to the pub for some lunch... on the evening will be hitting the clubs i'm sure...

On the Sunday the MEAL STARTS AT 12pm... please can you all let me know where you are planning on meeting up.

I suggest we meet up in the Leisure Center Car Park from 11am until 11:30am and then drive down and meet everyone else for 12pm and start the day off.

Forecast for Saturday:

Forecast for Sunday:

I look forwards to seeing you all there

I look forwards to seeing you!!!

It was going to be at 3pm but we brought it forward to 12pm. Did you get missed out from the text that was sent to everyone on Friday? Apologies if you were. It's just so that it allows a photoshoot after, and also a change of clothes and chill out before the snowdome.

Yes it's the meal at 12, snowdome at 6.45pm (though we need to be there by quarter past six at the latest), and then the bowling at half eight.

Sorry Dave... could you re-confirm your mobile number to me as i sent a mass text out. If it didn't get to you I really do appoligise... this is the reason I have put it on the site to make sure I catch everyone.

3pm was such a bad time... it will be getting dark and 1/2 the day is gone. As got a space so re-booked for 12pm which makes things much easier .

I am really looking forwards to seeing everyone over the weekend... you all best be ready

Lol, I only washed mine Wednesday afternoon, but it's already really filthy again with all the stuff on the roads. The forecast for tomorrow is for rain, so probably won't have a chance to do it. I think when we have the photoshoot on Sunday it will be black.

Theres a car wash at the petrol station just down the road in Balsall Common which is the town next to it.

I'm going to try and clean mine today... the weather forcast isn't predicting rain after 12pm so hopefully it will let off long enough for me to give the foci a good clean.

Your more than welcome to use my jetwash Chris and Ad if it's dry when you get here.
