my mate had a big problem with squirels they raided his roof by jumping from a tree and totally trashed the loft....he had to use traps to catch them then release them miles form civlilation (which i am not sure is legal!) he has had no problems since gettin a rescued grey hound as she may have been too slow for racing but she is too fast for the little squirles and has chased them all aways so no more roof breakins!
As vermin it is illegal to release a gray squirrel once captured. It by law has to be killed, probably something to do with them learning how to evade capture the next time or something...
your right but his wife was not up for him shooting it with an air rifle which was his plan so he took a risk .... now he has the grey hound its "natural control!"
Greys are not protected Reds are but as there are next to no red ones left cos the damm yank invaders eat all their food chances are its a grey on

Yes will be a gray, unless the grayhounds a part time lumber jack I dont think it will catch it I would just shoot it.

Well, I have got the car back today. Luckily no real damage, it has chewed through some insulation but not too badly and I just put a new connector on the rear washer pipe. It had made a little nest though and we all think it may be either a rat or a mouse, not a squirrel. I have brought some traps and hopefully I will catch the blighter that did this!!! Cleaning out the muck and poop wasn't a pretty thing to do though .... I would like to thank Gates of Epping for allowing me to use their workshop for the clean up, all I had to pay for was half hours labour for a chap to be with me to help take bits of off so I could get to the mess! I was there a good 2 hours!!

Pest control now turned up and they are putting bait and traps down. Ah, some piece of mind. Now all I have to do is try to eliminate the odour of urine under the bonnet!!

I swear by Turtle Wax Extreme Polishing Wax, it comes with it's own applicator. Easy to apply and buff off. Simoniz Hard Wax (contains beeswax) is good for long summer days as it's harder to work with but it waxes beautifully! Plus a large chamois leather!
