Yes, from reading your post on where it is parked i agree with Daves other half; i am convinced that it is a squirel....re-read my my post above.

Once you have your car sorted though, the squirel, (which is classed as vermin), will still be there.

There is only one answer, unfortunately for some, it needs removing.

Get in touch with your local council, via e mail, and inform them of the problem.

my mate had a big problem with squirels they raided his roof by jumping from a tree and totally trashed the loft....he had to use traps to catch them then release them miles form civlilation (which i am not sure is legal!) he has had no problems since gettin a rescued grey hound as she may have been too slow for racing but she is too fast for the little squirles and has chased them all aways so no more roof breakins!

Hmm, I have looked up on the net and unless its giant rat or mouse, looks like its probably a squirrel. Good news in some ways, because it probably hasn't made a perminant nest or got into the vents but it has made a huge mess!!!
Well, it is booked in for tomorrow, so I shall see the extent of the damage then.
I have a strange noise coming from what looks like the throttle control unit in front of the airbox. It usually makes a short noise when you turn the ignition on but now it is buzzing like a little motor all the time.
Have had an idea, am going to buy a pellett gun and hide in the bushes .... I'll get the little critter ......

As vermin it is illegal to release a gray squirrel once captured. It by law has to be killed, probably something to do with them learning how to evade capture the next time or something...

Grey squirrels are not as far as i am aware protected in the uk, So classed as vermin. If i lived near by i would come and shoot it for you mate. If its a red squirrel i think they are protected, so you would have to catch it and release it away from your home.

No, grey squirrel I think. They were everywhere this autumn.
My car is now in the garage, the mechanics couldn't believe it, we all had a good laugh about it. I was lucky it has not chewed through anything else.
On another note, I noticed the throttle control body is making an odd noise when the ignition is on. The mechanic said there was problem with them on the ST. Is that true?

My mate found a mouse in his Mondeo's engine bay the other month, he keeps the car in the garage and it had chewed a hole in the lining under the bonnet and scurried inside. He found it baked and cooked, YUK!

Just had a chat with my bro, he went to start up his bike to make sure it was running ok over the winter months. He couldn't start it, battery was fine and there was fuel too. But the bag of peanuts he kept in the garage for the bird feeder was empty and some little critter had filled the air box completely with the nuts!!
