First of im new to the forums. Ok ive had my Fiesta ST for about 10 months now, and it has about 6000 km on it, so its still new lol, the problem is that every time in the morning, (specially now in winter), i have to warm up my baby for about 10-12 minutes, if not, i just cant move it, the first time i turn it on it usually just dies in 3 or so seconds, next time i pump it 3 times before turning it on and it usually stays on after that, but if i rev it up just a little, the engine starts to die. I took it to the dealership and they told me that its an "error in the valves", and that apareantly some other fiestas around the country have the same problem, (i live in Mexico btw), my question is, have any of you had this problem? if so did you fixed it? how?

Hi & Welcome Can you tell me: What fuel grade you run your ST on and What fuel grades are available in Mexico It sounds like you're running on 91 RON
You shouldn't press the throttle at all while starting whether warm or cold, the ECU does that for you.

Goodness! Quite bad. The standard fuel here in the UK is 95 with most places stocking "premium" stuff at 97 or 99 octane. I know a few Greek members had problems with the way their cars ran because they had fairly low octane fuel too.

I found sometimes the only way to start mine is to press the throttle...normally after a short journey

Arr sorry I'd misread it for meaning that 95 was the highest available. In that case then running on 92RON isn't good. The only other possibility I can think of is are there any additives available which could uprate it, in the same way as ones were available to allow unleaded petrol to be used in older cars after you could no longer buy Four Star? I'm not sure if this is possible though.
You can buy octane boosters from most car accessory shops and even petrol stations
JUST MAKE SURE ITS NOT ONE THAT CONTAINS LEAD OR A LEAD SUBSTITUTE, you'll kill the cat if you put lead in. Your car should be mapped to run on 91 unless it's a Euro spec that was imported
Yhea, German import, gonna search my local autozone to see what they got, hope this works
