I drove Julie there, (In my knackered Mk2 1100 Fez), for a day out years ago soon after meeting her. After HOURS of driving, within 15mins we were like, Mmmm O.K.... NEXT

On the way back though, i saw a sign for 'Longleat Safari Park', never heard of the place at the time, so decided to go.

It was a red hot late afternoon, midweek and out of school holidays. When we got there we were LITERALLY the only car; remember, my car was a knacker.

The first entrance was the Lions. It was like a Jurasic Park kind of entrance, a gate opens, you drive in to another gate while the first closes behind you, and then the second gate opens and in you pop.

Well, this is what happened, we drove in.... "Where's the Lions"? i said to Julie

At that point, a sh*t load of them came running over a brow of the hill straight towards us i had to stop and put the handbrake on as one of them decided to lay down in the road just 2 feet in front of the car.

So, we are just sat there when i noticed the engine temp started to rise seriously towards Red, as did the Lions ....... Within seconds, 2 Lions were fighting and bouncing off my drivers door, i leant over to the passenger seat to see Julie in the footwell hands over her face crying like a baby, i had to but don't get me wrong, i absolutely cacked myself

Then the wardens appeared from knowhere and scared them off Thank F*ck.

I suppose the moral of my story is if you want a good day out, Longleat is Brilliant, but don't go in an old banger and DEFO don't go in the as the Monkey section members LOVE windscreen seals and wiper blades.
