Loc: Always on here these days !!!
where possible always park near something with less secuirty thats easier to nick...not so handy at home but can help when out and about..........

Chirs is right its all about reducing the risk if someone really wants it ans has the skills or the terror they will have it but each item slows it down and reduces the chances which is all anyone can hope to do

thanks

have a look on here just for info on what systems you can buy and what accessory add-ons, this is a mobile installer though, these and Gap seem to be recommended by most people. My installer is local, approved and highly recommeded by the local scooby owners, his work is faultless even if he takes three times longer than the mobile guys !
Systems start at £129, £100+ for mobile fitting.

Steve is it the arrow 5.1 you have? If you have the remote start do you have to have a push button start? Also you said it was overall about £400 wheras this one is around £270. Sorry for all the questions mate im just not too clued up on alarms and you have been a fantastic help so far.

yep 5.1. I don't have remote start (why would you want it !) another feature thats costs extra that is not required. I think remote start can be added. Accessories cost extra too, £50 for Tilt and £40 for prox, so looking at that site I have paid £180 for fitting (£40 more than precision) BUT I asked for a custom install as I explained in my PM, really should have cost me less as there was less work to actually do.

Right I see your point with the remote start but you have to admit its kind of cool. Anyway I can live without that if its an expensive extra. The prox is probably a good feature to have. I believed the standard alarm had tilt?

So all in im looking at about £350 then.

ford system alarm only protects doors, boot and bonnet and any attempt to start engine or remove stereo. There is no tilt motion sensor.
Get some quotes and decide what system and accessories you want.
