not due yet but asked for a quote from Greenlight who can now quote Mountune Kits as Standard and not as a modification, Mountune have set this up with the association of insurers so that it can be automatically quoted on request by any Insurer as it will be on the "list" of cars. Likely to be a group up.
Anyway, £422 which is about same as Adrian Flux my current, think this is a bit poor though still !

Good to hear that insuring a car after a Montune upgrades shouldn't cost ridiculous amounts more to insure, now all I have to do is get round to finding the money to get the mod done

Tiny bit off topic but my boss from work recently enquired about putting his girlfriend on his 2.2 Vectra as a 2nd driver apparently it would cost £4.50 a YEAR! Crazy!

Azz, If I owned an insurance company I'd charge you £5k! Looks like you've had a few misfortunes in the last two years!

lol but tbh its made me a better driver, more cautious of what can and does happen plus the amount of time it takes to get put right and the faffing about involved so if anything now id say im less of a risk then someone my age who hasnt been through what i have. also that was only in my red festa 1.4 and then zetec s, ive hada 20k civic type s gt not crashed at all and then my st for a couple months now done over 3k miles

Hey all, relatively new to this site but just wondering which insurance companies you guys would recommend (if recommend is the right word!) 20 year old, no points, no accidents,1 year ncb. Also how much of a difference does it make naming ya parents on the policy?

Thanks

My Dad still brings down my premium by £30 a year. Although mine's pretty cheap anyway. Give it a try at quote, you don't have to if it goes up!

Nah, I don't own an ST (yet). My pic is just a photo and is not my car. Thats why I'm asking questions cos I'm looking round for an ST. Would be lookin to do a few mods, though nothing massive or major, lowering etc.

Then try confused.com for a good comparison and also a few specialists like Adrian Flux etc. but AF's really a mod specialist, but make sure they insure mods when you take the policy out just in case.

Did Admiral recognise the Mountune kit or did you have to break down the kit into individual mods?
