stevethewizz i am impressed with the syling of you engine bay. simple but very effective. as i have this big issue with water in the air intake, can i buy the same filter system as you? if so were from?

no you can't buy the MT stuff, but the MT air filter is a genuine K&N, you then will have the existing slam panel air intake feed and you will need one cold air feed pipe from filter to below and behind the grill, so that would be same air set up at MT. Oh and the MT cold air feed is a biggy, about 65mm !
You then have a small issue of keeping the flow of dirty air down as you don't have an airbox for the filter, you might be able to get a "Shield", not sure maybe K&N do one, have seen these in various tuning mags so that might be an idea, otherwise custom build one. Can't see that being too much of an issue, you can regulary clean your filter too.

i now have my loan car. the almighty citreon c1, 1 liter of crap. how many 21 year old lads have you seen in one of these lol. gets me from a to b but very slowly. according to the guy at the garage, hes never fixed a water damaged car, due to electrics. he thinks the insurance will pay out instead. if this is the case, i may buy a honda civic type r. does anybody have there views on this car?

A new one or old shape one. In my opinion the new one isn't all its cracked up to be. My mate has just brought one brand new and its very thirsty on fuel. Insurance is a fortune (about the most nicked car in the country). Would personaly sway towards something more like a Focus RS or R32 golf for roughly the same on insurance

the company pays for my insurance. well its a family run business. i was looking at the old shape. i do like the rs focus but they do fetch very good money. money i dont have at the moment as i am moving.
for the money i think the civic type r is the best performance.
