If you really want to spend some money (as I feel it's burning a hole in your pocket )

Why don't you fit a bespoke inlet manifold with throttle bodies and a bespoke engine management system without a catalyst like the kit-cars have.

Speak to Burton Engineering

You'll have to take it all off for MOT or re-homoligate the car as a kit car (Q-Plate) but you'd have 190 BHP before you even looked at the cams or upgrading to 2300cc or even fitting a Super/turbo (then you could have an intercooler).

If you fitted an intercooler to an N/A car you would loose about 20BHP

Cosworth inlet will drain your bank balance and give you about 1/2 BHP You may as well light your cigarettes with £10 notes, you'd save more money.

oh dear... that awful huh?
They look good yeah... haha but only that

ok cheers for the info Dave ...I see what you mean now. I guess I should go for cams and a remap then and that SHOULD cure my thirst for power for a while

It's not awful, it's a great bit of kit but only beneficial if you're going to rev the engine over 7,500 rpm.

Bang to the buck it's useless, yes. Like a 60mm throttle body
You're better off buying cams and a re-map. Though cams will push all your peak torque to the top of your rev-range ( speak to the Mountune 185 boys)

You may just need a good re-map and keep the standard cams.
