I placed a post on here called "Dodgy Alloy" a while ago. It related to dodgy flaking/damage around the edge of the front drivers side alloy. Rather than pay I thought I would take it to Matlock Fords bodyshop to see if it could be done under warranty. To cut a very long story short, the photo of the wheel which they sent to Ford for a decision seemed to have gone missing. The bodyshop has now closed down for good and the service department seemed to just brush it off with excuses and said they would take more photos but they would tell Ford that it was definately damage. I wrote a letter of complaint to the guy who sold me the car stating that although it may well be damage it was not caused by me. He telephoned me and said roughly the following: "I spoke to my boss and we have agreed that Ford would dismiss any warranty claim because they would just say it was you and there is no way for you to prove otherwise. But I told my boss that you have bought 4 cars from me over the years and I refuse for this matter to be left in this state so I will give you a number of a guy I know who runs an alloy repair firm and he will come to your house, repair the wheel and send the bill to me at Matlock Ford." Now that is quality service. He stepped in and kicked ass .

That is good service, and a great way to keep your business in future.
