hey guys, i set my car alarm off just to hear it and it is awful, way to quiet for my liking!! if my car is broken into i wan tto wake the street, not just the ground around the car when changing the horn im guessing its just positive and negative wires? anyone got any ideas on this? am gonna do it tonight as i have another horn which is much louder and sounds better from another cat1 alarm that i never fitted to my previous car. cheers!

It's called a battery backed sounder, is fitted in the left hand rear quater panel and you can't change it, sorry.
Does the job enough to get Thatcham 1 though

its ok, its been done, wasnt hard, i put the extra one in the boot, but too quiet in there, so getting re routed to engine bay tonight. it its changeable. theres inly a positive, negative and signal wire going into the buzzer. easy to get to aswell, located slightly righ of the back passenger speaker, plastics all held on by clips and few screws. took 2 hours last night to finish wiring up the extra buzzer

Probably as your messing with a cat 1 alarm, if you mess with it the insurance company could play funny.

its just the buzzer that has been tampered with, and im on the process of getting another one for spare, so it can just be plugged in if the car is going into ford or anything
doesnt take long to change.
